The General Tab applies to global settings in the application like aspect ratio or overall lighting. While the Picture tab controls slot specific settings, like image dimensions or individual spotlights, General enables you to add and tweak across the board.

Screen

  • Adjust the aspect ratio of your output and shoot video and stills in Landscape, Portrait or Square formats.

  • Add an on screen graphic by uploading an image from your computer. Preview gives you several options on where to place it.

Props

  • Props in Preview refer to scale models of furniture or 3D people. Each prop is assigned a Prop ID

  • To add a prop, select the Props tab under General Settings

  • Click Add Prop, position it in the gallery, then click on the box under Prop Type to select a prop from the drop down menu

  • If you wish to add another prop, click Add Prop again and repeat the process.

  • If you need to Reposition, Rotate or Delete a prop, first select the Prop ID corresponding to the prop you wish to change and then proceed by clicking the corresponding button.

General Lighting

  • To adjust the overall lighting in a space, go to the General tab in Set Up

  • Bloom softens the overall lighting in the scene

  • Exposure adjusts the overall light in the scene, making the entire gallery space brighter or darker

  • Tint allows you to adjust the colour temperature of the lighting . Click on the white box to access both sliders. Select a hue, then move the saturation slider to make the effect as strong or subtle as you like. Once you are happy, click Done

  • The Tone Map is a predefined Unreal Engine look that can be applied to the image, like film grade

    NB. it can affect the colour balance of the artwork. If preserving the colours in your source photograph is important, it is best to keep it off.

Picture Spacer

  • The Picture Spacer is a handy tool designed to help you space out your artworks evenly (for example if you want to set up a grid). Click on General tab to locate this tool

  • First identify the picture slots you would like to align. Select pictures with a single click and drag the slider or simply type in a numerical value to indicate the distance between each slot. Once you are happy with the set up, click Align and Space

    N.B slots will align from left to right with the first selected slot. ( highlighted in red) It is best to select the slot on the left first and align the rest of the slots accordingly

  • Offset allows you to move the selected slots in small increments. Use the arrows to move your slots left/right or up/down

Customize

This tab enables you to change wall colour in the virtual gallery space. Click on the colour box underneath Main wall colour and select a colour. Then move the Saturation slider until you are satisfied with the results.
